Dr. Erin A. Hyle
Dr. Erin A. Hyle is a licensed psychologist in the state of New York, a certified school psychologist in the states of New York and Connecticut, and a school neuropsychologist. Dr. Hyle earned status as a Diplomate in School Neuropsychology through the American Board of School Neuropsychology and she is also a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. Dr. Hyle holds a Master’s degree in Preschool Psychology and a Professional Diploma in School Psychology from Fordham University. After working as a school psychologist for several years, Dr. Hyle returned to Fordham University to expand her knowledge of biologically based brain behavior and neuropsychological assessment to better inform her understanding of children’s overall learning and behavioral functioning. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree after conducting extensive research on the impact that executive functions have on students’ academic performance.
Dr. Hyle specializes in psychological, psychoeducational, and neuropsychological assessment and has over 10 years of experience evaluating and creating/implementing intervention plans for school aged students. She has had the opportunity to work with children of all ages in the public school system, preschool through age 21. Part of her neuropsychological assessment training includes time spent working with a lifespan service at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, NY where she completed neuropsychological evaluations for pediatric and adult patients with suspected neurological impairment.
Dr. Hyle has experience working with public and private schools in New York and Connecticut. She is well versed in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and Section 504 Accommodation Plan development, implementation, and progress monitoring. She can help families navigate the Committee on Special Education (CSE) or Planning and Placement Team (PPT) process. Currently, Dr. Hyle works as a psychologist in a New York public school in addition to private practice. Dr. Hyle is also an adjunct professor in the School Psychology graduate program at Fordham University.
